Professional Shuttle Operator (Full-time and Part-Time)

Shuttle Drivers will be responsible for safely transporting passengers. Drivers will follow predetermined routes and stop at designated locations. Drivers will maintain an accurate hourly passenger count.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shuttle Drivers must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and be at least 25 years of age.

  • Drivers will be responsible for transporting passengers to and from designated points. Drivers may be required to drive for special events or to take the shuttle in for service and/or repairs.

  • Drivers are expected to be able follow verbal and written directives.

  • Drivers are expected to obey all traffic rules and regulations.

  • Drivers are expected to perform shuttle pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document on appropriate forms.

  • Drivers are expected to report any accidents or mechanical issues that need attention.

  • Drivers are expected to have a working cell phone as a means of communication with Transportation Services.

  • Drivers are expected to refuel shuttles when necessary, documenting all purchases and turn in receipts.

  • Drivers are expected to agree to abide by all written company policy, rules and regulations, and terms and conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required)

  • Must be at least 25 years of age

  • Must have at least 5 years of driving experience (CMV driving experience is preferred)

  • Acceptable driving history (we will access a MVR)

  • Must be friendly, courteous, tactful, and represent Dominion Shuttle in the most professional manner at all times

  • Dress in a neat and professional manner - may be in accordance with a stipulated dress code for shuttle drivers

  • Must learn the published routes and be able to follow directions precisely

  • Must have good communication skills

  • Must have reliable transportation to report to work on assigned workdays

  • Must present a valid Medical Examiner’s DOT card/physical upon hire

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and submit to ongoing random screenings

  • Must submit to a criminal background check

  • Must have the ability to sit, drive and be alert for extended periods of time
